My name is Joseph Sparks, and I’m just a guy who enjoys taking photographs….

My interest in photography really came about in mid 2007 when I purchased my first DSLR to take pictures of my four children and found that I really enjoy the creativity that the camera brings me.

My childhood in the seventies and eighties was spent moving all over the US as my father worked for a company that built high transmission power-lines; a job which required us to move to a different state about once a year allowing me to really get a taste of the country. I wasn’t ever fortunate enough to have much of a camera growing up, but I really enjoyed and took mental images of all the beautiful places we would visit and I try to translate these artistic notions into my photography, hopefully creating a fresh and unique style. My favorite subjects are clouds, mountains, water, and vast landscapes in areas like Wyoming and Montana.

I’m not sure where photography will take me, but so far I am enjoying the journey.
